I write an open letter to the German Federal Minister of Education and Research calling for oversight of the Max Planck Society in Germany after it demoted me on the basis of false allegations and a non-transparent investigation procedure. The investigation followed my submission of a formal complaint of harassment. There is no oversight of large research organisations in Germany, despite their public funding.
